Known as the sunniest and the southernmost ski resort in Europe, Pamporovo enjoys mild winters with a lot of snow and more than 120 sunny days during the season from December to May. It is placed in the Rodopi Mountains, famous for being the birth place of the mythical singer Orpheus. As the oldest mountains in Bulgaria, the Rodopi Mountains are characterized with their rounded hills and slopes, making the resort and the mountains in general perfect for beginners!
